Description

THE RED ROBE
,
Playbill type program, 04/08/29, Shubert Theatre, NYC
.  The musical opened in NYC on 12/25/28 and ran for 167 performances
.  The cast includes Walter Woolf, Helen Gilliland, Jose RUben, Marjorie Peterson, George Dobbs, Barry Lupino, Violet Carlson, Roy Gordon, Gerald Gaylert, Manila Powers and Mark Smith.  Music by Jean Gilbert, lyrics by Harry B. Smith and book by Harry B. Smith and Edward Delaney Dunn (from the novel by Stanley Weyman).  Directed by Stanley Logan and choreographed by Raymond Midgley.  The program is NOT complete.
Scan is of the front cover.
This is NOT a reproduction!!
Note:
This is a regular Playbill size program.
Condition is good- with wear including the removal of all advertising pages leaving only the pages dealing with the program of the musical.  Front and back cover separation repaired with thin archive tape.
CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
IMAGES:
I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
